Parminter, Minister of the South African Legation in Paris. Gerard Sekoto’s mother, Anna (neé Serote) had married Paulus Jiyane after the death of her first husband in 1938. In 1934, Sekoto graduated and started teaching in the Primary department of the Khaiso Secondary School near Pietersburg.
